Troubleshooting Guide — GameCity Recovery

Start here — what is the box doing?

💡 First, read the box's light (or screen)

Fix #1 — Box can't find WiFi (most common)

The box makes its own WiFi network when it's lost. You only need a phone:

On any phone, open WiFi settings
Join the network called ArcadeBox-N-Setup (N = the station number). No password.
Open the phone's browser and go to 192.168.4.1/wifi
Tap the venue's WiFi name, type the password, tap Connect
Wait ~15 seconds. The hotspot disappears by itself and the light goes solid = fixed.

💡 The box remembers this forever, even after power cuts.

Fix #2 — Box is online but the app shows it OFFLINE

Is the branch's internet working? Test on a phone using the same WiFi.
In the ArcadeBox app: does the box's address start with https://? It must. Edit it if not (needs manage-boxes permission).
Still offline? Connect the box to a computer and use the Recovery Console → Status button — it shows the box's real situation.

Fix #3 — No light / box seems dead

Try a different power adapter — must be a good 5V 2A one, not a weak phone charger
Try a different USB cable (thick, short). Charging-only cables do not work for the console
Light comes on but box acts strange → connect to a computer, open the Recovery Console, press Status. If the console shows a BROWNOUT message, the power adapter is too weak — replace it.

Fix #4 — Session/timer problems

TV doesn't come on when session starts: wait 5 seconds (normal HDMI handshake). Still nothing → check the booster's power light; if dark during a session, check relay wiring (Wiring page)
TV never turns off when time expires: the relay isn't cutting — power wire may be bypassing it. Wiring page, step 3
Timer reset after a power cut: boxes resume sessions automatically and lose at most 15 seconds. If a customer lost more, the box may be running old firmware — re-flash from Downloads

Take a photo of the box's light/screen and the Recovery Console output, and send it to Evans on WhatsApp with the station number and branch. Include what you already tried.
