How an ArcadeBox is wired

The box never touches the picture cable. It switches the booster's power: no power โ†’ no signal โ†’ TV shows nothing. Session starts โ†’ relay gives power back โ†’ picture returns.

Control wiring (ESP32 โ†’ relay)

ESP32 pinโ†’Relay pin
VIN (5V)โ†’DC+
GNDโ†’DCโˆ’
GPIO 26 (D26)โ†’IN
Use VIN, not 3V3 โ€” the relay needs full 5V. If the relay module has a High/Low jumper, set it to LOW.

Power wiring (relay โ†’ booster)

  1. Take the booster's power lead and cut the positive (center) wire
  2. Adapter side of the cut โ†’ relay COM
  3. Booster side of the cut โ†’ relay NO
  4. Negative wire stays untouched

Verify (don't assume): use the Recovery Console โ†’ "Signal ON/OFF" buttons. Signal ON should light the booster; Signal OFF should kill it. If it's backwards, move the booster wire from NO to NC. Done.
